Staring out of my living room window

Standing in my fuzzy socks
I look out of my living room window
to find my deck coated in a thick layer of white snow

To the left I see over the neighbor's fence
the playground is abandoned
and covered in ice sicles

Today I notice that the color of the fabric has faded from its vibrant red hugh
Sometimes I can see my chickens wandering around the back yard,
escaping from their coop and resting in the shade of the trampoline.

But today the chickens reside in their warm home and the sun gleams down on the snow
leaving a shimmer along the surface
of the ground
off in the distance
I see the rooftops of all of the houses covered in snow

If there is no school tomorrow

I don't believe that school will be canceled tomorrow.  If it is cancelled, then I will spend the day at home.  I will either have my boyfriend over to cuddle and watch netflix with me.  But if he isn't available then I will have my friends over to watch movies and drink hot chocolate with me.  I will most definatly be wearing fuzzy socks and pajamas all day.  I predict that I will sleep for twelve hours.

Flower post

Tiffany Blue
Will you accept this token of admiration?
Which compliments the colors of your eyes
soothes your soul
calms your mood
and lets you know how much you mean to me

Image inspiration

I was inspired by the fourth picture.  I found it to be a peaceful and serene setting.  If I were sitting at the typewriter, I would feel inspired by the beauty of nature to write.  With the sun glistening and warming me, I would feel content.  The itchy grass would brush my legs and remind me of when I was a kid, running around in my back yard and playing waffle ball with my brothers. I miss being young and carefree. I know the days spent with my brothers are precious and limited.  One day I will watch my children play in the grass of my back yard, free of any responsibilities or worries.  Their lack of burdens proves their purity and innocence.  I know they will look forward to growing up, but I hope that they appreciate the little time they have to be free.

Idioms

When ever I'm down I always tell myself
It's a chip on your sholder
Your life will continue no matter what happens, you will become stronger

It's a Blessing in disguise
Something good could come from something going wrong.

Eulogy

A light sprinkle caresses the ground.  There is serenity in the air.  Many have gathered to exchange stories about her.  Although she is not there, she lives through the memories.  She made the most out of her time on earth.  She has a room full of people that care about her and will hold on to her memories.  Her grace touched many people and she will be missed.  Although there is mourning for her loss, there is contentness in her stay on earth.

Asking Teachers About Music

What Music or songs reminds you of your childhood?
Coach Howser said Guns and Roses "Welcome to the Jungle".  I found this humerous because when I asked Mrs. Butcher what music was considered controversial when she was growing up, she replied "Guns and Roses".  This shows the evolution of society because I don't find Guns and Roses offensive at all and I'm sure that Coach Howser finds some of the music that I listen to controversial.
